When the unaccredited College of Klaire announced its art call for Thunderdomesticity: Witness Me, I reached out to costume designer Christine Shea, known for her dynamic work on outdoor events. Excited by the opportunity to collaborate, Christine eagerly joined me for an on-location photo shoot. My partner, Myla Baker, accompanied us as art director, helping shape the visual narrative. This project was a joy to create. As a male photographer, I’m proud to center a strong, powerful woman in this work. Christine shared her admiration for the character Furiosa, portrayed by Charlize Theron in Mad Max: Fury Road, which served as a key inspiration. The resulting images—titled Witness Christine—pay homage to that cinematic strength and vision, reimagined in a post-apocalyptic, fentanyl-scarred San Francisco. The Golden Gate Bridge appears in the background of images 4, 9, and 11, grounding the story in a place both iconic and transformed.
